hey all, i'm in the market for a moped (if anyone gots, holla; not the topic at hand)
i like the ease of my vehicular commute down 205 from johnson creek to the first oregon city exit (10), but once i start making my way at an avg 50cc 35mph, i don't think it'll be wise to tangle with 99E, even if 35 would be flying during some hours.
anyone know of a good alternate rt where i won't hold up anyone up at my pace, and where i won't be prone to hurried dispositions behind their wheels? can mopeds use bike lanes? ;-)

Re: moped dread
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 5:48 PMMatt, go to google maps and map out your route. Then hit the "not freeways" or what it is called button. It can give you alternative routes other than a highway.
I use it all the time, as I don't like freeways at all.

Sun, May 4, 2008 - 7:18 PMDon't know a good route, but I can answer your bike lane question--NO, mopeds are motorized vehicles and therefore not allowed to use a bike lane as a lane of travel. The same can be said for motorized wheelchairs, or riding lawnmowers, etc.
Welcome to the moped world!
