Re: CNN likes them some Portland
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 7:03 PMSure was a hell of a lot better than that ABC story they ran not too long ago, comparing bicyclists and vegans (or whatever it was) with child molesters and neo-Nazis. -

Re: CNN likes them some Portland
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 9:38 PMI think I'm going to actively avoid it again if Obama doesn't become President. My life was much more peaceful. I didn't even find out about the giant Christmas tsunami of 2004 until two weeks after it happened. At the moment, I find that astonishing since that's all everyone was talking about, all that was discussed in media, etc. But I had never heard a peep about it until my roommate came home from her Christmas break two weeks after it happened and told me about it.
You can't imagine the kind of peace that comes from having one's head buried that deeply in the ground.
I can be an ignorant, peaceful, happy idiot as the world goes to hell in a hand basket, or up in flames, or whatever metaphor you think fits best.
If Obama doesn't win, that is. -

Re: CNN likes them some Portland
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 11:39 PMI dunno, I like knowing what is going on in the world. I get nervous if I don't know what is up,actually..
Never know when the information is going to be useful. I just take it all with some detachment and a fair amount of cynicism, depending on the particular news source I am gathering information on.
