It's time for me to go to an optometrist. Before my insurance expires. Eeep! Can anyone share their experiences with these following optometrists/clinics? (I'm choosing the ones near where I am all the time)

Mon, April 28, 2008 - 11:13 AMI have been going to Hawthorne Vision for 16 Years and I love their service. The staff is warm and wonderful and it is a place where there isnt a lot of turn around, the folks who work there have worked there for years. That says something about a place. I would recommend them to anyone...plus, they give discounts after insurance! -

Mon, April 28, 2008 - 12:23 PMI've been going to Hawthorne Vision for years, too. The one bone I might pick with them is the way I end up having to buy new-new-new frames every time my prescription changes -- there's always some reason I can't just get new lenses and keep the frames a while longer. But mostly I like 'em.

Mon, April 28, 2008 - 11:30 AMI've gone to the Woodstock Eye Clinic for a number of years now and really like Dr. Roth. He has had some turn over in his staff, but everyone I've encountered have been nice and helpful. I think his exams are more thorough that other docs I've visited. If you care: he doesn't use the puff of air glucomma exam, he uses drops instead.
