Hello all you foodies out there! and this is Portland, so I know theres a lot of you.

My friends, Rose and Jason McCormick, have opened up a new restaurant that they are calling the Liberty Glass. It is in the former dwellings of Lovely Hula Hands on N. Cook, just South of the rebuilding center on Mississippi. They have both tended bar at the Basement Pub and the Crow Bar, respectively. They have come somewhat tired of the drinking scene, so their restaurant is a nice bar where you can get a gourmet hand prepped meal and a lovely cocktail to go with it. They will be open 7 days a week from 5 PM to 2:30 AM, with the kitchen staying open all night. This might be the only place in Portland where you can eat after 11 PM. The menue is featuring home style comfort food with a flair (my words, not theirs!). I have yet to see their entire menue, so I can not tell you what they are planning on serving all the time, but their pork loin is awesome, they have THE BEST cheese biscuits I have ever tasted, the mac-n-cheese was to die for and the salads yummy and fresh. Please give them a try next time you want to go out to eat! They are the nicest people and they are doing something totally crazy right now...opening up a restaurant in the middle of a recession! Please give them a shot and send your friends out to see them too. We want them to succeed because they deserve it! Tell them that Kristen sent you!!

Peach,
Kristen
